APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A ONE-TIME GRANT AGREEMENT WITH THE NEW MEXICO EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION AND CARE DEPARTMENT SERVICES IN PARTNERSHIP WITH SOUTHWEST REGION EDUCATION COOPERATIVE, AND PROVIDING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE DEPARTMENT OF FAMILY AND COMMUNITY SERVICES DIVISION OF CHILD & FAMILY DEVELOPMENT FOR FISCAL YEAR 2022.
WHEREAS, the City of Albuquerque has been selected by the Early Childhood Education and Care Department, in partnership with the Southwest Region Educational Cooperative to receive a one-time grant under the (24) Child Development Centers; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor has been informed that the City of Albuquerque is eligible for $60,000 in State funds to supplement the purchase of health and safety supplies and equipment for its (24) Child Development Centers in response to the COVID-19 pandemic; and
WHEREAS, the City of Albuquerque will apply for these grant funds for which City match funds in the amount of $0 City cash match and $0 City non-cash in-kind matching requirements and no IDOH.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL, THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF ALBUQUERQUE:
Section 1. That the grant application for the City of Albuquerque Child Development Centers from the Early Childhood Education and Care Department, in partnership with the Southwest Region Educational Cooperative in the amount $60,000 is approved, and its acceptance and filing with the appropriate o...
