APPROVING THE ATTACHED GRANT APPLICATION FOR THE NRPA 10-MINUTE WALK PLANNING GRANT AND TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE AND PROVIDING FOR AN APPROPRIATION TO THE PARKS AND RECREATION DEPARMENT IN FISCAL YEAR 2020.

                     WHEREAS, the City has as one of its goals for all residents to be within a 10 minute walk of a park, trail, or open space; and

                     WHEREAS, grant funds in the amount of $40,000 for this purpose are available to the City of Albuquerque from the NRPA Grant; and

                     WHEREAS, The City of Albuquerque desires to accept these funds, which did not require a cash match.

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL, THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF ALBUQUERQUE:

                     Section 1.  That the application with the NRPA in the amount of $40,000 in Grant Funds is hereby approved, and its acceptance and filing with the appropriate official or office is in all respects approved.

                     Section 2.  That funds in the amount of $40,000 in monies from the NRPA are hereby appropriated to the Parks and Recreation Department in the 110

Fund for Fiscal Year 2020.
