David Pizarro is a U.S. Navy veteran and experienced administrative professional committed to supporting veterans and their families. Serving from 2000 to 2005, he was stationed at NAS North Island during 9/11 and later in Sigonella, Italy, where he worked in aircraft maintenance and logistics. Following his military service, David transitioned into the behavioral health field and currently serves as the ADPAC for BHCL in an administrative capacity, ensuring efficient operations that support mental health services for veterans and the community.

David is currently a senior at NMHU pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Organizational Leadership in Public Safety, with plans to earn a Master's in Social Work. In addition to his academic and professional pursuits, he is the founder of "Making Strides," a hiking group with over 2,000 members that fosters community engagement and wellness, including among veterans. Through his work and studies, David is dedicated to enhancing support systems and advocating for the well-being of veterans in Albuquerque.

A resident of Council District 9, Mr. David Pizarro, Jr will serve the remainder of an unexpired term as an At-Large member on the Board; his first term will expire on September 2, 2027.
