APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE FILING OF THE ATTACHED GRANT APPLICATION FOR A POHLAD FOUNDATION GRANT AND PROVIDING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE ALBUQUERQUE COMMUNITY SAFETY DEPARTMENT IN FISCAL YEAR 2025.
WHEREAS, the Albuquerque Community Safety Department has a goal to ensure people of all ages have the access to holistic and trauma-informed response to calls for services; and
WHEREAS, the operation of the Albuquerque Community Safety Department provides the technical means of accomplishing these goals; and
WHEREAS, the City of Albuquerque is desirous of applying for these funds to support operations within the community.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL, THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF ALBUQUERQUE:
Section 1. That the attached application for the Pohland Foundation grant in the amount of $5,000 for the period of January 1, 2025 through June 30, 2025, is hereby approved and its submission and filing with the appropriate official or office of the Pohlad Foundation is in all respects approved.
Section 2. That in the event that the grant is awarded, State funds from the Pohland Foundation in the amount of $5,000 for the rest of this fiscal year is hereby appropriated to the Albuquerque Community Safety Department in the Operating Grants Fund, Fund (265), for Fiscal Year 2025.
Section 3. Funds in the amount of $0 from the transfer to Operating Grants Program of the General Fund are hereby appropriated to the Albuquerque Community Safety Department in the Operating Grants Fund (265).
