I am submitting for your advice and consent the following name for appointment to the
Arts Board in accordance with the City of Albuquerque Ordinance 10-5-3.

Mr. Gromelski is a 35 year resident of Albuquerque. He is a Co-founder and Executive Director of FUSION, the longest-lived professional theatre in New Mexico's history. FUSION is also Downtown's 24 year performing arts complex, producing and promoting a wide breadth of multi-disciplinary arts and community events. FUSION's fine arts exhibition space, including outdoor murals, is particularly noteworthy. Recognizing the impact of the arts on community development, Dennis has been active in the creation and development of civic projects including the Downtown ABQ Arts & Cultural District, the Rail Trail, the UETF Resiliency Residency program, and the CABQ MRA Downtown Redevelopment Plan. He is a graduate of Bates College in Lewiston, ME with a B.A. in Rhetoric.


A resident of Council District 2, Mr. Gromelski will fill a vacancy and be the At Large representative on the board; his first term will expire on July 31, 2027.
