SUBJECT:
title
Mayor's appointment of Mr. Sebastian Ab Bentley to the Greater Albuquerque Active
Transportation Committee
body

I am submitting for your advice and consent the following name for appointment to the Greater
Albuquerque Active Transportation Committee in accordance with the City of Albuquerque
Ordinance 2-6-17.

APPOINTEE NAME
TERM
Mr. Sebastian Ab Bentley
Albuquerque, NM 87107
April 1, 2025

Sebastian Bentley is a 18 year old high school student, staff member at Explora, and member of the Albuquerque community. Sebastian grew up in Albuquerque, NM and is excited to spend his coming college years in the land of enchantment at The University of New Mexico. Sebastian has the unique experience of having traveled within the United States as well as out of the country, giving him an insight and experience of how other cities and countries deal with the challenge of public transportation. Being deeply ingrained in our Albuquerque community and specifically having access to how the youth community interacts with public transportation in our city would provide information for the board from the worst experiences and flaws to the advantages that public transportation grants.

A resident of Council District 2, Mr. Sebastian Ab Bentley will fill a vacancy and serve as the Youth (under 24) representative on the Committee; his first partial term will expire April 1, 2025.
