INTER-OFFICE MEMORANDUM February 26, 2025
TO: Brook Bassan, President, City Council
FROM: Timothy M. Keller, Mayor
SUBJECT:
title
Mayor's appointment of Ms. Nicole S. Finch to the Library Advisory Board
body
I am submitting for your advice and consent the following name for appointment to the Library
Advisory Board in accordance with the City of Albuquerque Ordinance 10-6-1.
APPOINTEE NAME TERM
Ms. Nicole S. Finch July 31, 2027
Albuquerque, NM 87112
Ms. Finch, an eight-year resident of Albuquerque, is an analyst who has worked in international cooperation, R&D, and countering weapons of mass destruction. She considers the main focus of all her experience to be communication-making difficult concepts clear to non-experts, and bringing together individuals and groups with different perspectives to reach mutually beneficial goals. Ms. Finch has lived in several U.S. states, most recently Arlington, Virginia (in the Washington, DC metropolitan area), and finds the Albuquerque Bernalillo County Library system to be one of the best she has ever encountered. She reads nonfiction about history, economics, science, and government; and she reads fiction about murder, romance, dragons, and spaceships.
A resident of Council District 9, Ms. Finch will replace Mrs. Mary E. Moskal and serve as the District 9 representative; her first term will expire on July 31, 2027.
