Per Ordinance 10-6-2., if a member is eligible for reappointment to the Board and the Councilor in whose District that member resides desires to reappoint the member, the Councilor shall so notify the Council and the member shall be reappointed subject to the advice and consent of the Council.
The term of member Mrs. Madelynne Johnson expired on July 31, 2023. I am recommending Mrs. Madelynne Johnson to the City Council for confirmation of re-appointment to the Albuquerque Library Advisory Board.

Mrs. Madelynne Johnson is a retired librarian, having worked in the field for 25 years (educational book publishing, school libraries, public libraries). She believes books and information are the tools for lifelong learning and avid curiosity. She is a senior citizen and has lived in the NE Heights the past 7 years.
As a resident of Council District 8, Mrs. Johnson will represent that district on the Board, and her second term will expire July 31, 2026.
