Aaron Nieto holds a Bachelor's degree in English and Political Science from the University of New Mexico and has a strong background in public administration, event coordination, and stakeholder engagement. Mr. Nieto has extensive work experience in various governmental and political organizations. He has held high-level administrative and outreach roles at different levels of government. He served as Chief of Protocol for the New Mexico State House Speaker, providing administrative support and acting as a key liaison. Mr. Nieto worked as the Operations Administrator for the Mayor of Albuquerque from 2017 to 2023, supporting the Mayor's Executive Team and directly coordinating with the Mayor and different constituency groups. Aaron lives in the Wells Park Neighborhood which is located within the pocket of poverty designated area.
A resident of Council District 2, Aaron Nieto, will fill a vacancy and serve as the Resident Representative on the Board; their first term will expire on April 15, 2026.
