RESOLUTION

Approving And Authorizing The Acceptance Of 2020 GO Bonds From The State Of New Mexico For Public Libraries Albuquerque/Bernalillo County Library System, And Providing For An Appropriation To The Department Of Arts & Culture In Fiscal Year 2024 (Grout, by request)

                     WHEREAS, the City of Albuquerque has as one of its goals to promote the educational and cultural development of the widest possible spectrum of individuals in the community; and

                     WHEREAS, the 2020 State GO Bonds for Public Libraries Albuquerque/Bernalillo County Library System, if accepted, will enable the Albuquerque Public Library to fulfill this goal through the New Mexico State Library to provide supplementary popular reading materials for Albuquerque citizens; and

                     WHEREAS, funds for this purpose, in the amount of $865,137.80 have been appropriated by the New Mexico Legislature through the New Mexico State Library; and

                     WHEREAS, the City of Albuquerque is eligible to receive these funds.

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL, THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF ALBUQUERQUE;
                     SECTION 1.  That the attached Purchase Order in the amount of $865,137.80 is hereby approved, and its submission and filing with the appropriate official or office of the New Mexico State Library is in all respects approved.

                     SECTION 2.  That upon approval, funds in the amount of $865,137.80 consisting of $865,137.80 from the State of New Mexico are hereby appropriated to the Department of Arts & Culture for the Capital Implementation Program (305) for fiscal year 2024.
