APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF GRANT FUNDS FROM U.S. DEPARTMENT OF TREASURY AND AMENDING THE ADOPTED CAPITAL PROGRAM OF THE CITY OF ALBUQUERQUE TO PROVIDE AN APPROPRIATION TO THE PARKS AND RECREATION DEPARTMENT.

    WHEREAS, the City has as one of its goals the creation and/or expansion of outdoor recreation access and economies throughout the state; and

                     WHEREAS, the New Mexico Economic Development Department has

 established the Outdoor Recreation Trails+ Grant to invest in projects that enhance and protect communities' outdoor recreation opportunities and bolster the outdoor recreation economy in New Mexico; and

                     WHEREAS, U.S Department of Treasury, is responsible for implementing the Outdoor Recreation Trails+ Grant project in New Mexico; and

                     WHEREAS, grant funds in the amount of $295,000 are available for this purpose for Fiscal Year 2023 from U.S Department of Treasury; and

                     WHEREAS, the City of Albuquerque is desirous of accepting the funds.

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL, THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF ALBUQUERQUE:

SECTION 1.  The Outdoor Recreation Trails+ Grant is approved, and its acceptance and filing with the appropriate official or office is in all respects approved.

SECTION 2.   That the following appropriations are hereby made and/or changed to the Capital Program to the specific funds and projects as indicated below for Fiscal Year 2023.
