I am submitting for your advice and consent the following name for appointment to the Youth
Advisory Council in accordance with the City of Albuquerque Ordinance 2-6-7-1.

Kayla Hynes is an involved Junior at Volcano Vista High School. She has shown her passion and dedication to her school by holding various leadership positions such as: Student Council Junior Class Secretary, Best Buddies President, Math Honor Society President, DECA Director of Leadership, Science Honor Society Treasurer, Captain of the Varsity Girls Golf Team, and National Honor Society Senior Secretary. These roles have given her experience in planning events, staying organized, and being an inspiring leader. Beyond school, she has held a seasonal job at Leslie's Pool Supplies, is on the Student Board of Directors for the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City, and has volunteered throughout Albuquerque with organizations like Presbyterian, Roadrunner Food Bank, and the Carrie Tingley Hospital Foundation. She is constantly looking for new ways to improve her community as well as gain new skills. Kayla has also proven her intelligence through maintaining a 4.4 GPA and currently being ranked 6/506 in her class. She has scored in the top 1% of students on the SAT test, and will be named a National Merit Scholar this fall for her top 1% performance on the PSAT test.
