I am submitting for your advice and consent the following name for reappointment to the
Albuquerque Energy Council in accordance with the City of Albuquerque Ordinance 14-8-5-3.

Alex currently serves as the Executive Vice President at Yearout Energy where he oversees the delivery of all projects through all phases across the organization. Alex has been instrumental in the development and implementation of roughly $300M in comprehensive energy efficiency, renewable energy, and resource conservation projects throughout the US. He received a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from New Mexico State University, and is a Certified Energy Manager (CEM), Certified Measurement and Verification Professional (CMVP), Renewable Energy Professional (REP), and LEED Accredited Professional (LEED AP). In 2020, Alex was recognized as a 40 under Forty honoree by Albuquerque Business First. Alex also presently serves as the Chair of the Albuquerque Energy Council, a member of the Albuquerque Climate Action Plan Task Force, and on the National Board of Directors of the Energy Services Coalition.

A resident of Council District 5, Mr. Montano will continue to serve as an At-Large member on the Council, and his second term will expire April 30, 2025.
