Reappointment of Mr. Edmund E. Perea to the Accountability in Government Oversight Committee
body
The terms of two members of the Accountability in Government Oversight Committee (AGO) are expiring on August 31, 2022. Per the City’s Accountability in Government Ordinance §2-10-5, it is the Council’s responsibility to fill one of these positions. In this case, it is the Law Enforcement position required under the Ordinance which states that “…at least one member shall have a law enforcement or law background…”
The member are appointed for 3-year terms, and there is no limit on the number of terms they may serve.
The following individual is interested in continuing his service with the AGO, and his name is submitted as the candidate for the Law Enforcement position:
Mr. Edmund E. Perea, Esq.
Mr. Perea has served with the AGO since 2016. His resume is attached for your review.
If the Council approves this appointment, the composition of the Committee will be as follows:
