Pursuant to Section 3-2-19 of the City of Albuquerque Labor-Management Relations Ordinance, please be advised the Mayor has executed a multi-year collective bargaining agreement (CBA) with the International Association of Firefighters Local 244 (IAFF 244). A copy of the CBA is attached for your information. The IAFF CBA includes a salary compensation increase of 5% for FY/23. In addition, FY/23 includes an increase to employee longevity compensation and increases to paramedic incentives for firefighters that work on paramedic rescues.  FY/24 includes a 4% salary compensation increase and additional PERA employee contribution pick-up by the City.

The City and IAFF 244 incorporated Section 3-2-19 by reference into the new CBA. The economic terms above are subject to appropriation in the budget resolution process in and for each respective fiscal year. Adoption, acceptance, or approval of this Executive Communication by Council does not constitute a future appropriation of such funds.
