INTER-OFFICE MEMORANDUM                                                                July 15, 2022

TO:                      Isaac Benton, Council President

FROM:                     Timothy M. Keller

SUBJECT:                     title

Pursuant to City of Albuquerque Labor-Management Relations Ordinance, multi-year Collective Bargaining Agreement with Prisoner Transport Officers

body

Pursuant to Section 3-2-19 of the City of Albuquerque Labor-Management Relations Ordinance, please be advised the Mayor has executed a multi-year collective bargaining agreement (CBA) with the Prisoner Transport Officers.   A copy of the CBA is attached for your information. The Prisoner Transport Officers CBA includes salary compensation increases of 5% for FY/23 and an average of 7% longevity increase in FY/24. The CBA also includes an academic achievement incentive pay for employees that obtain an associate degree or higher degree.

In FY/23 the CBA includes an incentive pay increase for all bargaining unit employees, while in FY/24 employees may receive incentive pay or longevity but not both.

The City and Prisoner Transport Officers incorporated Section 3-2-19 by reference into the new CBA. The economic terms above are subject to appropriation in the budget resolution process in and for each respective fiscal year. Adoption, acceptance, or approval of this Executive Communication by Council does not constitute a future appropriation of such funds.
