Mayor's appointment of Mr. Samuel Jensen to the Transit Advisory Board

I am submitting for your advice and consent the following name for appointment to the Transit Advisory Board in accordance with the City of Albuquerque Ordinance 2-7-1.

Mr. Jensen is a recent transplant to Albuquerque who works in the non-profit sector on issues related to food insecurity. He relies on the bus and his bike to get around the city. Mr. Jensen has a masters' degree in urban planning, and has worked in transportation planning, as a city bus driver and dispatcher in the Midwest, a train conductor, and as a community organizer. He also was co-founder of the Milwaukee Transit Riders Union, where he spent eight years working to organize bus riders around improvements to Milwaukee's bus system. Mr. Jensen is passionate about community engagement and improving Albuquerque's transit system for all Burque?os.
A resident of Council District 2, Mr. Jensen will fill an at-large position; his first term will expire on September 30, 2025.
