I am submitting for your advice and consent the following name for appointment to the ABQ Volunteers Advisory Board in accordance with the City of Albuquerque Ordinance 2-1-19.

Ms. Emma Lewis September 30, 2025 Albuquerque, NM 87108 An East Coast Native, Emma moved to New Mexico in 2013 after graduating from college. Originally from Maryland, Emma studied at Salisbury University and graduated with a B.A. in Communications with a focus on Human Relations, Marketing, and Event Management, as well as a minor in Eastern Philosophy. Emma has always had a deep love for nonprofit work; in high school she co-created the Walk-for-Williams, a now nationally-recognized event that raises awareness for Williams Syndrome. Currently, she works for HopeWorks, a leading nonprofit working to end homelessness in Albuquerque, as the Volunteer and In-Kind Resource Coordinator. She enjoys working with this population and connecting the Albuquerque community into the mission of HopeWorks. Additionally, Emma serves as a Board Member for Future Fund and is the Volunteer Committee Chair. A resident of Council District 6, Ms. Lewis will fill an at-large position; her first term will expire on September 30, 2025. |
