Please find attached the report for the 2022 Redistricting Committee. This report contains the Committees recommendations for potential redistricting alignments for the City’s nine Council districts. The report contains background on the Redistricting Committee, the principles of Redistricting, the 2020 Census demographic changes, the Committee’s process and public outreach, the eight maps and associated data, meeting minutes, and written public comment. The report was emailed to City Councilors and made available to the public via the project website ( www.cabq.gov/2022redistricting <http://www.cabq.gov/2022redistricting> ) on July 1st, 2022.
The committee rated eight maps (Concept Map A, Concept Map D, Concept Map E, and Citizen Maps 1 through 5) and recommended that all eight be sent to the Council for consideration. Although all eight maps are being transmitted, Concept Map A was the highest rated:

The report contains map ratings, narrative summaries of each of the eight maps, the maps themselves, and the demographic data for each map. In addition, data on each map’s compactness, the percentage of people who shifted compared to current population, and Social Vulnerability Index (SVI) is also provided.
