I am submitting for your advice and consent the following name for appointment to the Greater
Albuquerque Recreational Trails Committee in accordance with the City of Albuquerque
Ordinance 14-13-3-8.

Julie Tertin is an educated outdoor enthusiast, a decorated trail and ultrarunner, an employee of REI headquarters working virtually from home, a freelance writer, and a backpacker. She spends more time on trails and outdoors than most, especially in the Sandias, and she is passionate about stewardship and responsibility for recreational spaces. She has served on county boards against sexual assault previously in Minnesota, but this is her first application for an environmental cause.


A resident of Council District 9, Ms. Tertin will fill a vacancy and serve as the Pedestrian/Hiker representative on the Committee. Her first term will expire June 30, 2024.
