I am submitting for your advice and consent the following name for appointment to the
Commission on American Indian and Alaska Native Affairs in accordance with the City
Albuquerque Ordinance 2-6-6-1.

Marissa Naranjo's tribal affiliation is with Santa Clara Pueblo, Santo Domingo Pueblo, and Cochiti Pueblo. She graduated with a Bachelors of Arts degree in Native American Studies from the University of New Mexico and is a current student at the UNM School of Law pursuing a JD in Natural Resource and Environmental Law with a certificate in Indian Law. She brings several years of experience and expertise working directly with Pueblo Nations, their administrations, governance, and leadership on a host of natural and cultural resource policy issues at the local, state, regional, and federal levels. Most recently, she served as the Policy Coordinator for the All Pueblo Council of Governors where she managed development and advocacy for the Council's collective priority areas of Natural Resource and Historic Preservation, State and Federal Legislation, and Youth Leadership Development. She now works with High Watermark LLC supporting Pueblo environmental projects including, but not limited to Water Management and Restoration, Renewable Energy Development, Environmental Regulatory Compliance, and Environmental Emergency Management.

A resident of District 2, Ms. Naranjo will serve as the Environment Representative on the Board and her first term will expire October 1, 2024.
