Ground Lease Agreement between Saylor Family Trust and the City of Albuquerque located at 3712 Edith Blvd. NE

The Solid Waste Department wishes to continue to lease approximately 1.7262 acre of vacant land located at 3721 Edith Blvd. NE from the Saylor Family Trust. During the construction of the Edith Solid Waste Vehicle Maintenance Facility and the Westside Vehicle Maintenance Facility parking will be limited. The property is located near the Solid Waste Facility, and it will allow a safe alternative for employee parking as well as the Solid Waste Recycling Collection trucks and vehicles.
The proposed Lease Agreement is for a one (1) year and one (1) month period with the option to renew for two additional one (1) year period, if the City is in compliance with the lease and if properly exercised. The proposed monthly rent is $4,000.00 and the total rental amount for the one (1) year and (1) one month lease period will be $52,000.00.
This Lease Agreement is forwarded to City Council for approval.
