Mayor's appointment of Ms. Zoe E. Romans to the Youth Advisory Council

I am submitting for your advice and consent the following name for appointment to the Youth
Advisory Council in accordance with the City of Albuquerque Ordinance 2-6-7-1.

Ms. Romans is a freshman at her neighborhood school, Highland High School where she is a member of the Student Council, Band and Women's Tennis Team. Her interest in serving on the Mayor's Youth Advisory Council springs from an interest in helping to address services for the homeless, city beautification (she visited Denver and returned to Albuquerque wondering why we couldn't have more interesting/interactive public art), civic and community events. She is also drummer and vocalist in the indie rock band, Sunburnt which has performed at events including the reopening of Flying Star in Nob Hill and at Roust the House at the Outpost Performance Space. Ms. Romans is a member of the National Junior Honor Society, Her interests include caring for her rescue pets (2 dogs, 2 cats and a house rabbit - bunny holly), music, reading, travel and baking. She is known among her Parkland Hills neighbors as the 'go-to' person for pet walking, house sitting and plant watering. She attended Bandelier Elementary School and the Public Academy for the Performing Arts.
A resident of Council District 6, Ms. Romans will fill an At-Large vacancy on the board and her first term will expire May 1, 2024.
