Mr. Lujan was elected by the permanent City of Albuquerque employees through an electronic election held December 7 through December 11, 2020 to serve as a representative of Labor on the Personnel Board. Mr. Lujan holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration with an emphasis in Emergency Services Management. Mr. Lujan served the citizens and employees of the City of Albuquerque for over 23 years in the Albuquerque Fire Rescue. He was promoted to the rank of Battalion Chief. He was elected by the department’s union members (IAFF 244) to multiple positions on the Executive Board to represent and protect their interests, including serving as Vice President.
A resident of Council District 1, Mr. Lujan will serve as a Labor representative on the Board, replacing Ms. Sarah Fetty whose term has expired, and his first term will expire September 1, 2022.
