I am submitting for your advice and consent the following name for appointment to the Airport
Advisory Board in accordance with the City of Albuquerque Ordinance 7-1-2-1.

Mr. Word has been involved in aviation his entire adult life and takes a particular interest in general aviation. He earned his pilot's license at age 19 and has continued to earn more advanced licenses and fly more complex airplanes to this day. Mr. Word owns a wireless telecommunications company that provides text messaging services to all the national Labs throughout the country. He has been involved in Corporate finance and the process of issuing bonds through his work on the NM Mortgage Finance Authority in the late 90's and early 2000's. He is active in the community and has served on several charity organization boards as well. Mr. Word is uniquely suited to participate in the Albuquerque Sunport Advisory Board because of his extensive experience in so many of the aspects that the Airport deals with on a regular basis. He feels strongly that his contribution would be valuable to the other Board Members and the Staff. In addition, Mr. Word is a frequent traveler through the Sunport commercial side and can provide a lot of feedback from his own experience. He is prepared to dedicate the time necessary to attend the monthly meetings and contribute in other ways as necessary.
