Directing That No New Changes Or Actions Occur With Respect To The La Jornada Art Installation At The Albuquerque Museum Until After The Completion Of The Criminal Investigation Into The June 5, 2020 Incidents At That Location (Borrego)

                     WHEREAS, The La Jornada exhibit is a public art installation on public property; and

                     WHEREAS, on June 5, 2020, a group of one or more protesters engaged in conduct that either damaged or attempted to damage the exhibit; and

                     WHEREAS, the District Attorney and State Police are still in the process of investigating the matter.

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL, THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF ALBUQUERQUE:

                     No new changes, alterations, or related actions will take place with respect to the La Jornada exhibit at the Albuquerque Museum until after the completion of the criminal investigation of the incidents that occurred targeting the public art installation at that location on June 5, 2020.
