Mayor's Appointment of Ms. Jennifer Roth to the Senior Affairs Advisory Council

I am submitting for your advice and consent the following name for appointment to the Senior
Affairs Advisory Council in accordance with a Joint Powers Agreement between the City of
Albuquerque, County of Bernalillo, Village of Los Ranchos de Albuquerque and the Village of
Tijeras.

Ms. Roth and her partner are the primary natural supports for his parents, both aging in place, in Albuquerque and in their eighties. They have had many ups and downs as they have struggled as a family unit through the limitations of COVID and appreciate now more than ever the strong value and necessity of community connections and services. Professionally, Ms. Roth has been the Operations Manager for two New Mexico based companies serving elderly and disabled individuals through long term care service programs and is passionate about person centered services. She is currently the Program Manager for a new program, The Supports Waiver, intended to provide support to individuals with IDD throughout the state. She is a graduate of Hunter College with a Bachelor's degree in Sociology. Ms. Roth would very much like the opportunity to serve and support seniors in her community.
A resident of Council District 7, Ms. Roth will fill a vacancy and serve as a City representative on the Council and her first term will expire September 30, 2021.
