Wendy Santiesteban is the Marketing Supervisor at Western Sky Community Care, a Medicaid Managed Care Organization. She has experience in Medicaid and Government programs, as well as extensive experience in Community Outreach. A Cuban immigrant, raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico since the age of 10, Ms. Santiesteban considers herself a "Burque?a." She is passionate about our communities, went to school at Van Buren in the middle of the International District, graduated from Highland H.S, and ever since has focused her career on working with organizations that better our home and educate the community to grow and be better. In her career she has helped and hosted major community events, from Back to School to Thanksgiving giveaways, at these events she's had the opportunity to coordinate volunteers and their support; Western Sky doesn't have a major volunteer program but the staff is dedicated to the community and they will "show up and show out".
A resident of Council District 9, Ms. Santiesteban will serve in an At-Large position on the Board and her first term will expire April 18, 2023.
