I am submitting for your advice and consent the following name for appointment to the Youth
Advisory Council in accordance with the City of Albuquerque Ordinance 2-6-7-1.

Ms. Kamryn Johnson was born & raised in Albuquerque and is a 2020 graduate of Albuquerque High. She was very active both on and off campus, demonstrating strong successes and achievements in the classroom. She achieved the Student Honor Roll every year and in 2019 was selected to be a member of the National Honor Society. Ms. Johnson also found success in athletic extracurriculars at Albuquerque high. She lettered in varsity football, girls track & field, and girls basketball. In addition to her academic and athletic success, Ms. Johnson has demonstrated leadership in the community. She serves as the Black Student Union Co-President, recipient of the Dr. Dorothy I Height Youth Community Award, interned with UNM Africana Studies, and volunteers in her church youth department. She plans to attend UNM in the fall of 2020. As a BSU President and UNM intern, Ms. Johnson will bring her leadership and inclusive qualities to the Mayor's Youth Advisory Council.

A resident of Council District 1, Ms. Johnson will fill an At Large vacancy on the board and her first term will expire May 1, 2023.
