I am submitting for your advice and consent the following name for appointment to the Youth
Advisory Council in accordance with the City of Albuquerque Ordinance 2-6-7-1.

Mr. Agustin J. Leon-Saenz is an 11th grade student at Albuquerque High School. He is one of two student members on the APS Education Foundation Board of Directors, a school representative in the APS Superintendent's Student Advisory Council, and a member of the APS Suicide Prevention Taskforce. After graduating, he aspires to become an engineer while pursuing his other passions for public speaking, the environment, and serving his community. As a high-achieving Hispanic and Latino immigrant from Ecuador, he can always offer a unique life perspective on many issues. As a member of the Mayor's Youth Advisory Council, he will act as an advocate for all of Albuquerque's communities.
A resident of Council District 7, Mr. Leon-Saenz will fill an At-Large vacancy on the board and his first term will expire May 1, 2023.
