Ms. Maxine Paul has worked in the public, private and non-profit sectors in environmental science and policy in New Mexico for the last decade. Since 2016, she has overseen a growing environmental remediation division at the Pueblo of Santa Ana, including the creation of an air quality control program and a brownfields response program. Among previous positions, she has worked for the state's air quality bureau major source permitting section. Maxine originally came to New Mexico to complete her undergraduate thesis research at the Sevilleta National Wildlife Refuge through a National Science Foundation scholarship. She has a Master's in Water Resources from UNM and a Bachelor's in Environmental Science from Columbia University. Ms. Paul grew up in Cambridge, MA and now lives with her husband Adrian and their two dogs in Albuquerque, and are expecting a new little family member in late May, 2020.

A resident of Council District 2, Ms. Paul will fill a vacancy and serve as a City of Albuquerque representative on the Board. Ms. Paul's partial term will expire April 1, 2021.
