APPROVING GRANT FUNDS AWARDED FOR THE FY2020 FIRE PROTECTION GRANT WITH THE NEW MEXICO STATE FIRE MARSHAL’S OFFICE AND PROVIDING FOR AN APPROPRIATION TO ALBUQUERQUE FIRE RESCUE IN FISCAL YEAR 2020.
WHEREAS, the New Mexico State Fire Marshal’s Office distributed funds to eligible entities; and
WHEREAS, grant funds in the amount of $86,400 for this purpose are available to the City of Albuquerque from the FY2020 Fire Protection Grant; and
WHEREAS, Albuquerque Fire Rescue will utilize this grant to purchase Fire equipment; and
WHEREAS, the City of Albuquerque desires to accept these funds, which do not require a cash match.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL, THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF ALBUQUERQUE:
Section 1. That the agreement with the New Mexico State Fire Marshal’s Office in the amount of $86,400 in State Funds is hereby approved, and its acceptance and filing with the appropriate official or office is, and in all respects approved.
Section 2. That funds in the amount of $86,400 from the New Mexico State Fire Marshal’s Office are hereby appropriated to Albuquerque Fire Rescue in the Operating Grant Fund (265) for Fiscal Year 2020.
