Lease Agreement between City of Albuquerque and Christopher M. Sosa-Gomez dba KJ’s Café

KJ’s Cafe is the current tenant of the eatery space in the Plaza Del Sol building located at 600 2nd St. NW. The lease has expired and is currently month-to-month. The City wishes to execute a new Lease Agreement with the tenant who is willing and able to operate and manage an eatery in the Plaza Del Sol building that provides fresh, healthy and below market priced food options to City employees and citizens of Albuquerque.
The tenant shall make every effort to meet menu requests of City and agrees to provide eco-friendly products for food and beverage items.
The initial term of the lease is two (2) years and will generate $14,616.00 in revenue for the City. The lease also provides for one (1) two-year option for renewal available to the tenant, so long as they are not in default.
This Lease Agreement is forwarded to City Council for approval.
