Public Safety Tax Advisory Board in accordance with the City of Albuquerque Ordinance
2-6-11.

A retired Albuquerque Police Department Deputy Chief (1979-1999), Ms. Kuidis performed many duties included acting as Chief of Police in his absence, representing APD at community functions, attending City Council meetings and news conferences. She participated in daily decisions concerning personnel and staffing issues and the preparation of an $80 million dollar budget. She supervised personnel and operations for Support Services (Dispatchers and Records), Internal Affairs, Criminal Investigations, Special Investigations, Narcotics, and uniformed officers. In addition, Ms. Kuidis served as SWAT Commander, Police Academy Instructor, Sergeant In-Service Training, and Captain of Personnel Services which included Training and Recruiting. As Commander at the University of NM Police Department, she was in charge of the overall budget and police operations. She also served as the Principal Investigator on the FEMA Pre-Disaster Mitigation Grant for UNM.

A resident of Council District 1, Ms. Kuidis will fill a vacancy and serve as the Law Enforcement/Finance Representative on the Board. Her first term will expire October 12, 2022.
