Mayor's Appointment of Mr. Travis Davis to the Americans With Disabilities Act Advisory Council

I am submitting for your advice and consent the following name for appointment to the
Americans with Disabilities Act Advisory Council in accordance with the City of Albuquerque
Ordinance 2-6-5-1; 2-6-5-5.

Born and raised in Albuquerque, NM, Mr. Travis Davis earned his Master of Science in Physical Education from the University of New Mexico, and works as a substitute teacher at Sandia Prep School and as the Outreach Coordinator for the Carrie Tingley Hospital Foundation. His previous work experience includes working as an Intern in the Office of Equal Opportunity at the University of New Mexico; as the Marketing Director at De Oro Productions; Assistant Camp Director and Wheel Chair Basket Ball Coach at the Carrie Tingley Hospital Foundation; Family & Teen Center Director at the YMCA; and Adaptive Sports Festival Intern at the University of New Mexico. He is a certified ADA Coordinator, and as a person living with a physical disability (Cerebral Palsy), is passionate about improving the lives of people with disabilities in Albuquerque.

A resident of Council District 8, Mr. Davis will fill a vacancy on the Board and serve as an Individual with a Disability representative. His first term will expire October 30, 2022.
