I am submitting for your advice and consent the following name for appointment to the
Commission on American Indian and Alaska Native Affairs in accordance with the City
Albuquerque Ordinance 2-6-6-1.

Mr. Kyle Tapaha is a Navajo Nation member and a former homeless veteran. Kyle is currently attending the University of New Mexico where he is working towards a bachelor’s degree in Organizational Leadership. He is a program intern for the National Indian Youth Council, Inc and would like to one day return to the Navajo Nation to operate small businesses and form a non-profit to benefit Southwest tribes. A resident of Council District 2, Mr. Tapaha will serve as an At large representative on the Board replacing Mr. Michael Canfield. His first term will expire October 1, 2022. |
