Commission on American Indian and Alaska Native Affairs in accordance with the City

Albuquerque Ordinance 2-6-6-1.

 Dr. Lloyd Lee is Associate Professor and the Graduate Director in the Department of Native American Studies at the University of New Mexico.  He also serves as a member of UNM's Diversity Council, the Institute for American Indian Research, the Institute for American Indian Education, Advance at UNM Internal Advisory Board, the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation UNM Advisory Board, and several other UNM committees. He is a member of the American Indian Studies Association, the Native American & Indigenous Studies Association, Diné Studies Conference, Inc., and the RISE for Boys and Mens of Color.  He is the author of two books and the editor of two others. A third authored book will be published next year. His research focuses on American Indian identity, masculinities, leadership, philosophies, and native nation/community building. He has served on the Commission on American Indian and Alaska Native Affairs since August 2016.   Dr. Lee resides in Council District 4 and will continue to serve as an At Large representative on this board. His second term will expire October 1, 2022.
