Albuquerque Recreational Trails Committee in accordance with the City of Albuquerque

Dr. Scott D. Crago grew up in Albuquerque spending a significant part of his time hiking and biking the recreational trails in and around the city. He believes that these trails are an integral part of Albuquerque's unique setting and that their proper maintenance and promotion encourages residents to use and respect our trails. As a faculty member of the Outdoor Leadership Program at Sandia Prep, he continually teaches students about the importance of the stewardship of Albuquerque trail systems. Furthermore, he routinely uses the trails to educate students about the outdoors and Albuquerque's unique environment. Dr. Crago serves as the Senior State Archivist for New Mexico, and has years of experience working in archival settings to research right-of-way maps and documents to help formulate policy and use of public lands. This role allows him to learn about multiple points of view and work with varying personalities in completing research projects. As a member of the board, Dr. Crago looks forward to sharing his personal experience and passion for the maintenance, promotion, and renovation of our trail systems.
