Albuquerque Energy Council in accordance with the City of Albuquerque Ordinance 14-8-5-3.

Mr. Alex Montano is the current Vice President of Project Development with Yearout Energy. He has been ardently developing and implementing energy efficiency, renewable energy and resource conservation projects across the US since 2006. Mr. Montano has performed job functions in nearly all project phases including: leadership, business development, project development, construction management, and commissioning and performance assurance. Mr. Montano is a Certified Energy Manager (CEM), Renewable Energy Professional (REP), and LEED Accredited Professional (LEED AP). He has proudly served as the Energy Services Coalition (ESC), NM Chapter Private Co-Chair since April 2018. He is a graduate of the Leadership New Mexico CONNECT Program and received his Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering Technology from New Mexico State University. Mr. Montano lives in Albuquerque with his wife Amanda and their lively 4 year old daughter Alora.


Mr. Alex Montano will serve as an At-Large member on the Council, and his first term will expire April 30, 2022.
