Mrs. Brandi Stone currently works as the Interim Director for African American Student Services at UNM. She always been interested in public service and enjoys engaging with her community. She is also an alumnae member of a historically African American sorority - Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. Their mission is, "a community conscious, action oriented organization." Through this organization, the alumnae chapter has adopted an elementary school in APS where they provide supplies to the teachers year round as needed. They also volunteer with summits for the youth such as the NM Office of African American Affairs Inter Beauty Summit for young girls. Mrs. Stone recognizes that our libraries serve a critical role in our communities acting as meeting locations, vaults of information, and educational programs. She believes that with her rich history of experience and knowledge that she will continue to the work of our City and Board to ensure our Libraries stay up to date with the needs of both old and new generations.

As a resident of Council District 9, Mrs. Brandi Stone will be replacing Ms. Carla Felsted as an At Large member on the Board, and her first term will expire July 31, 2022.
