Rebecca Riley is the Director of the Native American Professional Parent Resources, Inc., (NAPPR) Tribal Home Visiting Program. A citizen of the Pueblo of Acoma, she has served at NAPPR since 2012. Ms. Riley received her degree from the University of New Mexico in Community Health Education and a minor in Native American Studies. Her first experience in early childhood education was as a young parent receiving Early Intervention for her oldest son in 2006 and then again for her youngest son in 2016. Her first professional experience out of college was working for the Pueblo of Isleta Head Start as a Lead Teacher and then as a Health Coordinator for the Pueblo of Acoma Head Start Center. Since 2009, she has worked in the field of Early Childhood and with tribal community programs, developing an understanding of the complex challenges tribal programs and communities face when addressing health disparities for children and families. She believes in the benefits and incredible services of Home Visiting programs, not only from her own experience as a parent, but of the many impacts Home Visiting makes and will make in the future of New Mexico
