Approving A Grant Application For The FY19 Walmart Foundation Grant And Providing For An Appropriation To Albuquerque Fire Rescue In Fiscal Year 2019 (Peña, by request)

APPROVING THE ATTACHED GRANT APPLICATION FOR THE FY19 WALMART FOUNDATION GRANT AND PROVIDING FOR AN APPROPRIATION TO ALBUQUERQUE FIRE RESCUE IN FISCAL YEAR 2019.

                     WHEREAS, Albuquerque Fire Rescue has applied for a Fiscal Year 2019 Walmart Foundation Grant; and

WHEREAS, Albuquerque Fire Rescue will use this grant for the Annual AFR

Halloween Community Outreach Event; and

WHEREAS, grant funds in the amount of $5,000 for this purpose are available to the City of Albuquerque from the FY19 Walmart Foundation Grant; and

WHEREAS, the City of Albuquerque desires to accept these funds, which do not require a cash match.

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL, THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF ALBUQUERQUE:

                     Section 1.                     That the application with the FY19 Walmart Foundation Grant in the amount of $5,000 in Foundation Funds is hereby approved, and its acceptance and filing with the appropriate official or office is and in all respects approved.

                     Section 2.                     That funds in the amount of $5,000 in Foundation monies from the FY19 Walmart Foundation Grant are hereby appropriated to Albuquerque Fire Rescue in the Operating Grant Fund 265 for Fiscal Year 2019.
