I am submitting for your advice and consent the following name for appointment to the
Veterans and Military Affairs Advisory Board in accordance with the City of Albuquerque
Resolution R-01-325, Enactment No. R-2001-141.

Ms. Chavez served in the United States Army as Active Duty Personnel from 2005 to 2009 before making the transition into civilian work. Her several years of public service in the New Mexico Department of Homeland Security and Emergency Management have contributed to her connection and relationship to Albuquerque and as a disabled and female veteran, her experiences and insights will serve as an asset to this board.
A resident of District 4, Ms. Chavez will replace Ms. Patricia A Gaston as an At Large member of the Board, and her first term will expire September 2, 2022.
