I am submitting for your advice and consent the following name for appointment to the Airport
Advisory Board in accordance with the City of Albuquerque Ordinance 7-1-2-1.

Ms. Marie L. Lobo has lived in Albuquerque for the past 15 years. Over the past 5 years, she has taken approximately 10-12 trips from the Sunport per year. While in graduate school, she served as a member of the King County Transportation Advisory Committee. At that time she rode the bus daily to the University of Washington. She has served on multiple professional and nonprofit boards and committees, and has an understanding of how boards and committees work. Her roles have varied from committee member, chair, board member and president of the major nursing science organization in the west, the Western Institute of Nursing. As a scientist she is familiar with analyzing scientific data and has no difficulty asking for clarification or seeking information from reliable and valid sources to better understand a situation. Ms. Lobo grew up in Dayton, OH where aviation was and is an integral part of the city and its history and which contributes to her long standing interest in aviation.
A resident of Council District 5, Ms. Lobo will fill a vacancy as an At-Large member of the Board and her first term will expire on January 1, 2021.
