I am submitting for your advice and consent the following name for appointment to the Early
Head Start Program Governance Advisory Committee in accordance with the City of
Albuquerque Ordinance 14-16.

Arra Carbajal, has worked in the Early childhood profession for over 20 years. Arra has worked in Early Head Start programs as a Teacher, Home Visitor, Coordinator and Program Director in New Mexico. She has been a teacher and center director in private child care centers located in Las Cruces and in Albuquerque. Arra has held the position of Program Specialist for the Carino Aim High program, provided T/TA to childcare centers throughout New Mexico to assist them in the New Mexico QRIS program (known as Aim High at the time) along with providing training and technical assistance to childcare staff. She is also a federal grant reviewer and a FA2 reviewer for Head /Early Head Start programs. Arra is currently the program director for the Native American Professional Parent Resources Inc. (NAPPR) Early Head Start Program. She is responsible of the oversight of the daily program operations, grant applications, budgeting and supervision of the Early Head Start program staff. She hold a Bachelor's degree in Native American Studies and Early Childhood Education.
