ADJUSTING FISCAL YEAR 2016 APPROPRIATIONS TO PROVIDE ONE-TIME CAPITAL FUNDING FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF ROUTE 66 SIGNAGE ON CENTRAL AVENUE.
WHEREAS, in prior years the City installed a variety of Route 66 signage along Central Avenue including a series of neon arches; and
WHEREAS, the Route 66 signage is in need of rehabilitation and ongoing repair; and
WHEREAS, additional fund balance has been identified in the General Fund for Fiscal Year 2016.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL, THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF ALBUQUERQUE:
Section 1. That the following amount is hereby appropriated to the following program strategies from unreserved fund balance for Fiscal Year 2016 to provide one-time funding for the rehabilitation of Route 66 signage on Central Avenue:
GENERAL FUND - 110
City Support Functions
Transfers to Other Funds
Capital Acquisition Fund (305) 150,000
Section 2. That the following appropriations are hereby made to the Capital Program to the specific funds and projects as indicated below for Fiscal Year 2016:

The scope of the project is to plan, design, equip and construct improvements to Route 66 signage on Central Avenue, including but not limited to electrical improvements to the Route 66 Neon Arches.

and Maintenance Transfer from Fund 110 35,000
The scope of the project is to repair and maintain Route 66 signage on Central Avenue.
