RELATING TO CAPITAL PROJECTS; CREATING A GUNNISON ROAD NW IMPROVEMENT PROJECT IN THE TRANSPORTATION INFRASTRUCTURE TAX FUND 340.

WHEREAS, Gunnison Road NW is a temporary access road; and

WHEREAS, the surrounding neighborhood has only one permanent road for ingress and egress; and

WHEREAS, the lack of a second permanent road presents a dangerous driving situation for residents as well as emergency vehicles; and

WHEREAS, there is sufficient unappropriated funding in the Transportation Infrastructure Tax Fund 340 to make the appropriation outlined in Section 1 below; and

WHEREAS, the construction of a permanent road on Gunnison Road NW is in the best interest of the City of Albuquerque.

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL, THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF ALBUQUERQUE:

      Section 1.  That the following appropriation of Transportation Infrastructure Tax is made in the Transportation Infrastructure Fund (340) as shown below:

      TRANSPORTATION INFRASTRUCTURE FUND - 340

      DMD/Streets

      Gunnison Road NW Improvements                        $450,000

      The scope of this project is to design, engineer, construct, install or otherwise provide for the construction of a permanent road on Gunnison Road NW.
