TO: Klarissa J. Peña, President, City Council
FROM: Timothy M. Keller, Mayor
SUBJECT:
title
Mayor's appointment of Clinton Wells to the Urban Enhancement Trust Fund
body
I am submitting for your advice and consent the following name for reappointment to the Urban

APPOINTEE NAME TERM
Clinton Wells February 1, 2029
Albuquerque, NM 87102
Clinton Wells brings a longstanding personal and professional connection to Albuquerque’s arts and cultural community. His early access to the arts shaped his educational goals and continues to influence how he engages with the community and thinks about what makes a city vibrant, distinctive, and connected. As a longtime Albuquerque resident with a background in art and deep connections across the city’s formal and informal arts networks, Clint has also demonstrated that commitment through leadership with 516 ARTS, where he served as Vice President and participated in initiatives including LAND/ART.
Clinton would bring particularly valuable nonprofit leadership, fundraising, grantmaking, governance, and philanthropic experience to the Urban Enhancement Trust Fund. His combination of arts experience and nonprofit leadership would position him to thoughtfully evaluate investments, understand the needs of Albuquerque’s cultural organizations, and help strengthen a diverse and accessible arts community throughout the city.
A resident of Council District 2, Clinton Wells, will replace Julia Youngs and serve as the Council District 2 representative on the committee. His first term will expire on February 1, 2029.
