Adjusting Fiscal Year 2025 Operating And Grant Appropriations (Pe?a)

ADJUSTING FISCAL YEAR 2025 OPERATING AND GRANT APPROPRIATIONS. WHEREAS, funds appropriated in the General Fund for housing vouchers currently revert at the end of the fiscal year, creating challenges in the continuity of funding; and
WHEREAS, these reversions make it difficult for providers to administer housing vouchers effectively, as providers enter into lease agreements throughout the year, many of which overlap across fiscal years; and
WHEREAS, transferring voucher appropriations to a non-reverting fund will improve the continuity of services, ensuring that the housing voucher program is better equipped to meet the City's ongoing needs.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL, THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF ALBUQUERQUE:
Section 1. That the following amounts are hereby appropriated to the following programs for Fiscal Year 2025:
GENERAL FUND - 110
Health, Housing and Homelessness Department
Affordable Housing 250,000
These funds shall be reserved for the development and implementation of a public-facing dashboard, specifically focusing on the behavior health opioid settlement and housing assistance related to affordable housing. The purpose of this dashboard is to enhance transparency and public engagement by providing real-time data and insights into the City's affordable housing initiatives.
