Declaring Coronado Dog Park Not Essential for Municipal Purposes

The Parks and Recreation Department is requesting the property located at the corner of 2nd Street and McKnight NW, also known as the Coronado Dog Park to be declared not essential for municipal purposes and the property will be sold. The property consists of approximately 1.79 +/- acres or 77,972 square feet of land; and is zoned NR-PO-A.
 
The Real Property Review Board recommended on February 23, 2024, that the property be declared not essential for municipal purposes and the property should be sold. 
 
Kris Kapke, Pinnacle West Investments, completed an appraisal on February 4, 2024, and determined the appraised value of $975,000.00.
 
Pursuant to Ordinance §5-2-2, City Council approval is requested to declare the property not essential for municipal purposes.
